Memorial Day Weekend!

For our weekend we headed down to Enterprise to help out on the Ranch. Everyone there was very welcoming and generous..Thank You! We had a ton of fun! We rounded up some cattle and moved them over the mountain. It was a beautiful day and with warm coats it was perfect weather. After the ride we drove to Saint George and had a nice Pizza Factory dinner.

We drove home on Sunday and relaxed the rest of the day.

Monday there was some work that needed to be done so we headed to Lehi early and helped load hay under the barn. We had a great BBQ dinner after spending some time at Cabela's.

It was a great weekend and was really nice to be able to spend some time together. We look forward to heading to Enterprise again to spend time with some great friends!

Check out my Slide Show!

My Sister is a Star!

This weekend my little sister ran at BYU for the High School Track meet. Friday was the trials and Jen ran the 400 m dash (once around the track) in both the medley relay and the 4x400 relay. Her team did awesome! In the medley they took first place!! In the 4x400 meter relay they were ranked 9th or 10th and had to place in the top 9 in order to make it to the finals on Saturday. They kicked it in gear and pushed themselves really hard putting them in 5th place for the finals!

Saturday they did Amazing! Jen's team ran the medley(which consists of 200 m, 200 m, 400 m and 800 m dashes). Jen got a personal record running her 400 m dash in 60 seconds flat! They took second place in the 5A state championship run! AMAZING! They were so close to the 1st place team that it was a photo finish! They ran the 4x400 m dash(four girls run around the track once each) just an hour after the medley race. They took sixth place in that which is really good. Jen ran even faster in the 4x400 m dash! She ran it in 59.6 seconds!

The girls team took second place overall for the meet just behind Spanish Fork who has a pair of twins that took in just about 80 points for their team(which is a lot!). It stinks when just a few girls can win the meet. Davis was just a few points behind them.

The Davis boys team were able to take first place overall.

Congratulations Davis High Track! and my sister JEN!

*sidenote...this is Jenny's first year running track and it is quite amazing she was able to run at state with only the outdoor season to better herself. WAY TO GO JEN! YOU ROCK!

PRECIOUS TIME

I was reminded this past weekend how precious our time is on this earth. I found out that two of my friends passed away this past weekend. They were so young and loved by many!

Micah Cronin was selling APEX alarms this summer in Colorado Springs. Micah told one of his buddies that he was having the time of his life: being with friends, and being successful. Micah moved into my ward when we were still pretty young. He was a very kind and generous guy. He had a great charisma and a way of making people feel loved and important. We will miss this great guy!

This picture of Lindsey (right) at a wedding shows her great love of life. Lindsey was known by most everyone as "Spjute" , which is her last name. She loved sports and the outdoors. Lindsey was my friend in Junior High and always had a way of making me feel extra special. Lindsey was jogging with her mission companion through the beautiful countryside of England when she suddenly collapsed and couldn't be revived. The coroner found NOTHING wrong with her. I think the Lord's hand was in this one. What a wonderful thing to be needed for the Lord's work.

I hope that I can remember to live the kindness, peace, love, and enthusiasm for life that these two very special people have lived. My love goes out to the family & friends who are mourning the loss of such young children of God.

Life is short and one never knows when they will be called to perform a greater work. May we all cherish the moments we have and enjoy the life we have been giving. Might we be the type of person others' will praise and adore at our passing. Might we remember who we are and the great joy the Lord has offered to each and every one of us.

Saying Goodbye to Danny.

Danny was Ryan's horse. He was such a gentle and good horse. He was only three years old and Ryan bought him just a year ago.
Ryan has spent many hours with Danny; riding, training, grooming, on the trail, and at the ranch. Danny was just alot of fun.

This last Friday we had to say goodbye to Danny. With Ry being so busy with school he hasn't had alot of time to ride him. A guy saw him and asked if he was for sell..well, he offered the right price and Ry decided it was best to take him up on his offer.

WE WILL MISS OUR DANNY!

Some of Our Wedding Pictures!

Our Wedding Day!

This was the best day ever! My favorite part was being in the temple surrounded by friends and family looking across at my new husband! I love him so much and am the luckiest girl in the world to have such an amazing husband! I look forward to all the many times we will be able to share together.

I know there are a ton of pictures! But, hey..this is the easiest way for me to always be able to look at them..haha.

I love my family and friends! Especially Ry!
